Dim sum 點心 (dim2 sam1)
點心 (dim sum) is always a popular topic amongst those learning Chinese. It consists of small dishes, either 蒸 zing1 (steamed) or 煎炸 zin1 zaa3 (fried), usually served at breakfast, lunch or in the afternoon. (N.B. 煎 more specifically means pan-fried and 炸 means deep-fried.) It certainly made me hungry when making the poster/flashcards. Hope you find it useful and that it helps you (or your child) to order the next time you go for dim sum!
