My Grandma doesn’t spin me around like Daddy or play hide-and-seek with me like Mummy. Instead, my Grandma tells me amazing stories, we grow flowers in the garden… and we make dumplings together! This book is a celebration of the special relationship between a grandma and her grandchild.
Written in traditional Chinese, there are Jyutping translations to help guide pronunciation for non-fluent speakers and you can scan the QR code at the back of the book to listen to the audiobook.
Originally written as ‘My Po Po 我的婆婆’ in reference to my paternal grandmother (as is the convention for my Hakka heritage), it was brought to my attention that this was confusing for families who refer to their paternal grandmother as ‘ma ma 嫲嫲’. I have published another edition of this story called ‘My Grandma 我的嫲嫲’ that I hope will be useful for families who refer to their paternal grandmother as ‘嫲嫲’.
